Chiksan Swivel Animation

The update of a 1970's technical training video was the opportunity to shoot new video footage and update the graphics.
Using the original video graphics (see below) as a reference, and a section of the script as a guide, the new graphics had to simply but clearly illustrate the construction and maintenance of the swivel component.
A 2D solution was chosen over 3D to produce clearer, diagrammatic, images. The elements were created in Photoshop, with gradients to suggest shape and volume, and animated in After Effects.
